Hi All,
Aswell as doing disco's I hire out bouncy castle's most weekends and
I am a member of the British Inflatable Hirers Association. On their site there is a link in which you can buy van stickers, tax disc holders etc. Why not produce stickers for this site? Something to say that you are a member of this site and its a bit of advertisement for the site aswell. if you think this is a daft idea fair enough - but admin could charge say £5.00 per van sticker :)

What do these stickers look like? Got any links?

I might be interested in such a scheme.

hi,
If you go onto google (images) and type biha it will show you the logo they use. If you type in biha van it will show you a pic but quite poor quality.
Cheers

Well, members.... how many of you think it's a good idea and would buy one?

I would :D:D

If so we could have a competition to see who could make the best sticker :) and the winning design would get it made in to a sticker :):)

I'm all for it until i..

a) learn to drive & b) get a car of my own! I would buy 3! One for my mums car, a second for my sisters car and a 3rd for my car! If you want something to be noticed.. you have to advertise! :D

But i know plenty of people who are though :D

The stickers bought from them could benefit this site ;)

But surely, if we did decided that this was a worthwhile idea, they would be availble for MDA members only? What's the point in having them if anyone can display one?

Corabar Entertainment
02-04-2007, 11:52 PM
Agreed Pete - I think it would mean a few other changes would have to be put in place.... or the sign would have to have something written on it if it were to be used as general 'advertising'.

Anyway, until an awful lot of members come forward and say they would but one, it's not even worth discussing the nitty-gritty, because the cost would would be prohibitive

yes van stickers great put a cupl in your window and advertise that you are a mobile dj and have ya van broken into and ya stuff nicked

Well who would be stupid enough to leave your equipment in the van anyway whilst at home? Shouldnt it be put in a storage compartment of some sort or a garage.

Maybe who ever wants to buy a sticker could be charged for a payment to go directly towards MDD. That way it would advertise this site and supply fund money.

If you were a working DJ you would realise that very often you do not use all of your kit on a night, or may due to space restriction have no alternative than to leave some kit in the van.

Yes I understand now.

Its just an idea really, but vans get targeted anyway because they are big and supposedly contain ''stuff''. Yes the stickers probably wouldn't help for advertising that you have Dj equipment, but as long as you have a driveway and a very loud alarm on your vehicle, it would make the criminal think twice.

I'm not really trying to argue, im just thinking of advertisement here. Stop me if im wrong :D

Do a sticker like the MDD supporter sheriffs badge, not too big though, with the web address underneath.

For all you dj's that leave their equipment in a van over night :( . If this product was going to be made why not purchase some magnetic strips that you can stick on the back of the sticker then straight onto your vehicle. This will mean that you would be still advertising the site and displaying that you are a member. These will get noticed while driving then when you get to your destination take them off. . .

There's a guy down my street that does signs, banners and magnetic signs - depending on the quanity he maybe able to knock these up at a resonable rate but then you have to add postage.
He mentioned to me £20 to do one for my car - not bad i thought, let me know.
