Hi Davey DB Technologies are makers of this range and have a lot in common with RCF ,i use operas in our hire stock with no problems its quality gear.I would suggest you look at there version with a 15" driver if you are not going to use subs with it as this version only goes down to 60hzs in my opinon the opera 415 is there best model ,Tony Tiger

I have a pair of the DB Technologies Basic 400's and they are great little speakers. Plenty loud enough for a small party and very light to carry too. I also use them monitors too sometimes. There's no graphic equalizer on the back as they are set up already and the sound is great. I would recommend them definitely.

I have a couple of 415s and I believe they are part of RCF and I will not change them , I also use a DB Powered Sub with them sometimes

Have a set of 400s.
Great speakers, the sound quality is excellent, however you may need a bass bin or two as they struggle with bass at high levels.

Just add the bass bin (if its powered) as the DBs have a lot of ''carry''

without the bass bins would they still hold out at an average gig of around 100 people, and the sound will be ok, never known anything to be so stressful, cant make my mind up on what i want..lol. i cant really affordthe bass bins as yet as just need 2 speakers for the time being and want active ones. so hopefully these will do. just want a good set to start with and not a cheap set which wont last.
