Kustom karaoke

We have the ability to record and burn someone singing karaoke...is this legal? I wasn't sure if it violates copyright laws. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I think you may be asking the wrong people. As this is a UK based site & our copyright laws are a totally different thing to yours in America. For example we do not have any sort of fair use policy, so if we did what you're proposing in this country it would violate the mechanical copyright of the original backing track.
