I will start the ball rolling ie if you want any advice about jewellery , watches or clocks I'm your man .

Actually, I'm an ICT Technician in a local Independant fee paying day school, and person in charge of Audio Visual. Although I started my career as an Audio Visual technician in the same school. The job includes the obvious fixing computers and AV kit, running the networks, supporting staff use computers and AV kit. I also have to be a theatre technician twice a year doing sound and lights for two shows, and rigging sound for concerts at other times.
In addition to the DJing (mobile & club), I've done a fair bit of freelance type work lighting bands etc and also help at a local community radio station doing tech work and providing kit/DJ for outside events.

Except for my own, I try not to get involved in computers outside of work - their too stressfull:eek:

Hadn't noticed the thread! Don't normally look in the top section :o Anyway...

Programme manager for IT infrastructure projects for a consumer goods manufacturer. Basically looking after a virtual team of project managers, architects and tech heads putting together solutions to support business IT needs for anything that has a global reach. 10 datacentres, over 20,000 servers, over 150,000 users  So even small decisions can cost millions.

Gradually phasing it out though - hoping to get out altogether in the next 5 years. 25 years in IT - yawn :D

What make and model boiler do you have?
How old is it?
How long does the 'popping' go on for?
Does the noise gradually calm down when it's been on for a while?
Is it more of a 'knocking' than a 'popping' noise?

Potterton Prima- I know about the PCB issue which causes it to reset but I dont think its that.

It pops for about 30 seconds occasionally when it first comes on (timer kicks in) and then stops just as quickly.

Thanks
