When young Wayne arrives, I'm sure he will advise. I know he's getting work for the retro setup, as it's something that stands out from the herd. Could well be a good selling point.
Aquired some light screens and looking for advise on how to clean them up!......the cover/cloth on the boxes and how to hide old holes where clasps have been.
They are Showtec and Soundlab screens in relatively good nick really.
I've got 2 x 3 foot square screens, 2 x 2foot 6 inch square screens and a pair of chevrons
You rang m'lud?
As with all of my setups, the retro varies depending on what space I've got available.
The "big rig" is 16 feet long, made up of various light screens (all symmetrical because.....well I have to). I've also got overhead pin-spots now (the pics below all show KAM ParBars which worked where needed) and a pair of fuzz lights (sadly, they're modern Ibiza Sound things but they do the job).
Rope light - I've never found one I like :(
As for cleaning - we've already had that conversation offline but depending on the material, car upholstery cleaner works a treat.
Plugging holes is another matter entirely. I'm not that fussy and don't bother (really....the clients don't notice that sort of thing....they don't even notice cracks in the perspex unless you point them out!).
Suppose some pics of various setup sizes are needed then....

Sniff. I remember the days when a disco was rated by the acre! :D I used to take up the whole stage at the local village hall. Happy days. :)
As much as I used to love vinyl (and still do at home), there's no way in the word I'm lugging that lot around again!
I'm still fairly convinced that most customers really aren't that bothered by that side of things so long as the sound quality from the digital systems is a decent quality.
Mind you, the appeal of a set of twin turntables with no connection to the interweb or connections for iPhones is tempting......
