They're not bad units, I have 6 of them and use them for crossover/delays/limiting and dynamic eq. Not the best sounding units but don't sound bad either and are very easy to use.
Being a golf club, I'm assuming they want a quality setup? Also don't take on the install unless you have the relevant training in fire regs, HSE, and insurance etc.
Also 6 speakers for a room...
Ah fairly sure mine are black sadly. Its the sort of thing I buy every so often thinking its a good idea and then decide I prefer stands without them lol
I think I might have a couple brand new and unused. Still looking for some? If so I'll have a dig around for them.
Hey Punchy,
How big are the baseplates that you have and how much? Got any top plates too?
Also interested in some corners, 2 or 3 way.
Planning any trips to London soon?
Compression drivers will require a crossover unit, piezos just tend to have a cap. I'd try get them replaced under warranty.
Also check if the crossover unit has a x100/1000 button on the back.
I'd go for a PC based solution. Chamsys MagicQ is excellent but there is many choices out there like QLC, Chameleon etc.
Any 1.5" decent screwfit should do.
And yes they do sound miles better, as I said, I own both, had them side by side in my living room for a few years. It's only recently that I've upgraded them.
You can use the first 4channels of the new lights with the current controller, have a look in the menu and see what they trigger, its normally RGBA/RGBW or RGB+shutter. If it's no good you'll need a...
It all seems fine. Just make sure you take the RCF upto the high pass point of the 802s. The Driverack is a pretty decent piece of kit. Best to sum the bass.
The JRX are in a different league to the KAMs when stock. Infact the only thing wrong with them is the HF unit, replace that with something decent (mine are running Beyma CP350Tis) and then they can...
1. Mackie CR1604 16ch Mixer.
In very good condition with 6 auxes (with returns), overload lights on each channel, bus inserts etc. Only issue is that that the master LEDs seem a little out but I...
Running an EU10 solely is gonna be running it at near a full duty cycle which isn't good for it or your electronics. Stick a meter on it and you'll see that there will be voltage drops if the volume...
Even cheaper yet grab some 20x20cm wood offcuts and make a floor stand by attaching it to the yolk? That way you can have it at any angle you want while being secure on the floor.
No way does a stand and scrim look nice.
Also I'd be a little worried if your subs move so much that you can't put stuff on top, that implies poor bracing from the manufacturer. The bass should be...
I'd suggest 3x Max possible load. It's what we usually do and never had any issues. Go for diesel over petrol.
For open air you're going to need much more than one sub. I always do double the kit.
Out of the choices you've provided, the Martin should be best suited what with having the biggest sub and if...
Before dealing with any company it's always prudent to check to make sure that all their details (company number, vat, phone number, registered address, both on the site and on T&Cs etc) all match up...
The only gigs I don't use subs is for speech only gigs.
I've had dealing with them, they try to force the sale, I mean they hound you. Even after all my saying no, they still added me to their site anyway, it's been up for at least 3-4 months and not a...
+1 for the bin liner.
XLRs and Mic cables are the same thing.
XLR is the name of the 3 pin connector typically used for microphones. The actual cable used for microphone or signal is the same unless you've opted for...
Still got the par cans?
It doesn't matter what you wear, if you're a good enough DJ everyone should be nude by the end of it anyway :daft:
