Are you sure it is a 16 ohm driver, I have a 8ohm Mackie 15" driver which they replaced for me has a scratchy noise at low volume,suitable to recone , only used a couple of times.

These work irrespective of whether the Amplifier is on or off normally.

I've got one,have only played with it on PC,am going with LEDJ lil mix instead seems a lot easier, so mine is redundant.

I run the Mackies passive , a set of S225's and a set of S215's, I live in the same town as you , come and listen to them sometime and be impressed.

I run a pair of these and they are awesome, I run them on stands and don't find them too bad to rig, have just bought a set of their big brothers the S225's from Whybuynew last week and the rig now...

I would just like to echo Rob's comments about Whybuynew, I have used them about 4 times and had no problem with either purchases or next day delivery, even had some speakers delivered on a Saturday...

Sold yesterday on fleabay for £196 plus postage on top, they have gone up in price recently.
