I budget for an amount of cancellations over December - venues can often be a little over ambitious - however have found this year to beat every other year for...

Last year I had 4 free discos for Venue staff parties, so far none of them look like they are going ahead this time.

I think this sums things up with residencies. I lost one years ago by charging for a booking, even though they cancelled 4 hours before it started.

Not quite sure how this thread has gone off onto...
