I have a set of Class D CD12SP's I've used for years, recently I've noticed one of them has developed a nasty popping noise when it gets too much bass sent to it.

Is this repairable...

The 450's are a bit pricey @£400 each.

In my price range I've discovered the following:

ALTO TS112A - £219 ea (122Db - 125Db peak)
W-Audio PSR12A - £247 ea (124Db)
Wharfedale Titan 12 - £275...

I'm looking for something portable and suitable for a medium sized pub karaoke. I prefer the idea of actives rather than 'lugging' a separate amplifier in and out... any suggestions would be more...

Any examples Toby? I could do with some for Saturday...

After buying the drivers and passing them to the guy who blew my speakers he has now fitted them but is telling me that the reason they blew is that the originals were wired up wrong, and I was lucky...
