Agree with all of that. You may yet find that the Mauis have a greater dispersal than you expect; and may cope on their own. Might. May. :)

I think the Maui 28/Evolve 50 and the rest are just about the boundary between discreet rigs capable of doing over 75% of average gigs easily, and full on subs and tops. Although it's a six and two...
Valid and valuable posts generated here about work ( or the lack of it ) prices, and business policies are now living here, in a purpose built home. Pop in for a cuppa and add your thoughts.
While I'm a very whimsical type of chap, every now and again, I take the tablets, and make a serious post. Brace yourselves.
Well done, that man. There is a saying that " if you find a job...
It appears that the " bread and butter " work is mainly being filled by Sid. :( There's one locally on Facebook who isn't charging what I'd call a sensible price. Ironically, it's seemingly easier to...
And guess what Mr Neen has just been asked to mend as a matter of urgency? And guess how much the amp module costs? Makes the 410 look positively good value!!!
It's one way of coping with...
Don't know what young Justin and/or Edward did or didn't end up with, but here's my tale. Coffee and biccies at the ready? Then I'll begin.
Mr Neen was wanting to shift some Db612 subs at an...
I've found my Evox 8 capable of coping with up to 300 people easily. Mind you, I swapped the RCF subs for my 15" LDs, driven by a whacking great Studiomaster amp.
Sadly, the Evox tops struggled...
Interesting. I thought normally folk were adding subs to these rigs, for extra output?
Nevertheless, if that's what you feel you need, then one of those ought to suit admirably, on...
For what? Pray tell. :)
As a PA system, I'd be wary of using them without a sub. With a decent sub though, on paper they'd beat my Maui 11s. Interesting.
And after lots of comparative and in depth testing and auditioning, young Benny plumped for this one.
Wise words, especially the bold bits. If you can't hear them in dealers' shops, plenty of...
And that's the crux of the matter.
I'd venture to suggest that the difference between the two isn't necessarily measured in quality, but volume. Haven't done the sums, but surely the Maui 28s ...
The eternal compromise between looks/weight and performance. There will never be a rig which can cope with all mobile gigs. The 1203 was probably conceived as that holy grail.
To address Justin's...
And that's a brute of a rig. And £2k per side. And I'd never only buy one, for multiple reasons. It's an answer, but well down on my list.
Have you found the dial marked Sub Level yet? I only...
I take it you've never been to Rotherham, Gavin? Blimey, it's hardly the stockbroker belt, shall we say. ;)
Your call for the Evox 8 is sensible, but I would have been suggesting it's...
