Beat that!
Not sure I can claim a win, but I had a wedding along similar lines. Bride said could I use the lovely bright lights on my website, so I took in an impressive show. I got set up, and entertained a few kiddies for a while, then a few adults had a dance. A couple of hours into the gig, and everybody left. There was a fabulous buffet virtually untouched, too.
Groom shook my hand, thanked me, and gave me a tip. It was an hour's drive from home, and I arrived home before the time I was supposed to finish the gig!
When the venue staff and I pieced together all the bits, it all made sense, and was simultaneously sad and joyous.

Maybe they just wanted to ensure they weren't too tired if you catch my drift.

I'd imagine it's more that she's breast feeding or reluctant to leave the baby for long periods of time instead of trying to get her end away

Pretty much this.
The baby was at the wedding but apparently spent all day being passed around.

I love trying to work out the venues you're talking about from each of your reports

That was what I had worked it out to be - lovely venue.
Saying that, when you said coming out of Hartley Wintney, it was only ever going to be one of two venues!
Lovely village - I think recently it was the best village in the UK to live in!

Yeah, I really enjoy working there. It's nice and chilled out and I know the owners well.
Funny story here - I'd never heard of the place until 8 years ago when I was booked to do a wedding there for a David Backham and his bride Victoria.
The owner said to me "If you're any good I'll get some cards off you".
I just happened to have a brilliant crowd that night that were up for it from the first song and he came over within 30 minutes and asked for cards.
Since then he's recommended me and I do quite a few there each year. I don't think I have ever had a bad or even mediocre night there.
