Default Xlr to 1/4 jack question

just a quick question I need to make up a 1/4 jack to Xlr lead tomorrow from a Xlr to Xlr lead, to run from a mixer 1/4 jack, to an active speaker male xlr, (whits pins on the Xlr should be soldered to ring tip and sleeve)

I would normally buy an adapter but it's not for me and it's needed tomorrow? plus I've got a box full of ends, and possibly the people it's for might get confused with an adapte their not best bright....local 60 quid Sid?
