The most popular laser systems are DPSS (Diode pumped solid state)

I don't think that is answering my question at all tbh.

It was a product specific question really and not about a scanning laser.

are they safe to aim into the audience or should they be kept on the ceiling where I currently use them?

I would recommend keeping both your Nebulas kept on the ceiling. I would not recommend using them for long periods of time tbh.

Here's a question to which I didn't really get an answer when I asked the manufacturer.

Hence my question.

Why would it make a difference how long the laser was on for if it was on the ceiling.

If you can't help or don't know the answer and are just on here for a bit of free advertising, then fair enough, but let's have less of the pretence.
