Hi and wecolme from Denford, Northants.

My only comment is the Sound.

I work through many different types of systems as well as my own because I often piggy back my music /mike through various DJ and Band set ups.

Possibly the worst sound I have used was a Behringer System.

Mind you im working with JBL active equipment Saturday--- so who knows

Just my experience--no doubt there will be plenty of other suggestions from people on here!!!!!

Steve Mad, bad & dangerous to know www.corabar.co.uk

    Welcome.

You need more than Lasers for lighting (and even they're not a great idea).

I'm sure if you star a thread in the relevant section.. we will all give you lots of hints and tips.

Personally I use a mixture of effects.
    The current "wedding" rig is:
    * 2 x Source Junior moonflower style jobs - provides basic dance floor effect
    * 2 x Tomahawks - again.. basic dance floor filler
    * 2 x 4chn 250w DMX Scanners - Provides main feature beams from top of rig.. and also lights the mirror ball
    * 2 x 15cn 250w (discharge) moving heads - provides lower level feature beams and main lighting for mirror ball
    * 1 x 30cm mirror ball & motor - with movers on it.. it looks stunning.
    * 2 x LED Par Cans - simple visual effect & a bit of ambience
    * 1 x iColour 4 - back lighting

And various other bits and bobs.

Anyway... best thing I ever did was buy the movers.
Second best thing was adding the mirror ball.. took it out for the first time a couple of weeks ago and had fantastic comments about it.
With a bit of haze the "beams" coming off it looked stunning.. and it also proved to be a great "visual" effect as the ball itself lights up.
Not to mention the "stars" filled the whole marquee.

Hope this gives you some idea of what kind of lighting you could use.
Not that it is as important as the music

    What utter *insert rude word*
So people who have maybe slightly better gear are not allowed to say what they have?
It was intended to give him an idea as to what gear I use so he can get an idea of what might be a good set up for him.

I won't say what myself, Tony, Paul, Darren & Steve use then. Just to name a few.

I never said I use better gear
As I don't.. that what makes comments about willy waving even more annoying.

But oh well.. I suppose I have an excuse for not investing in more gear

Alas.. *takes up theatrical pose* .. I fear I am not wanted here.. so I will depart and go and play on Flying forums. I bid you fair well.

    ... i mean LIMO!
