at leasts 2 spares of every cable I use ,amp speakers and a cd player, selection of fuses and a tool kit for minor repairs, spare bulbs, plugs extension cables and battery for mobile phone.

Being 18 I would say the no.1 spare should be condoms then amp then CD/mp3 player and possibly speakers but then don't forget the no.1! (DJ'd since I was 17)

Like everyone else has said a selection of spare fuses, leads, lamps, tools etc. The only really important back up hardware item is an amplifier. You can carry if push comes to shove with only 1 CD player, or 1 speaker but if you havent got a spare amp you are in trouble.
