    I'm one of those guys.

Weddings account for nearly 90% of all my disco bookings.

This is exactly what I'd expect, as about 90% my advertising is on wedding directory type sites.

About 75% for me on the wedding front.

Getting a lot of 18th Birthday Disco's. Did 2 or 3 at the end of last year and now all their friends are booking me for this year......I know a lot of people shy away from 18th's but I really like em!

Weymouth, Dorset, Somerset, www.partyshopdisco.co.uk 18th Birthday Disco, Bassline, Drum & Bass, Pendulum, Hardcore, RnB, Emo, Indie, Cheese ...........there that's the search engine optimisation bit done!

    My rough split is

    Weddings - 30%
    Older Kids/Young Teens - 50%
    Other - 20%

BUT (and it's a big but) the majority of my weddings are very intricate, all-day type affairs with lots of additional services wrapped into the overall package, usually far exceeding my published "disco only" rates

    Example being yesterdays:
    - three planning sessions (mainly because bride is American, groom is British, friends arriving from about 20 countries)
    - marquee used for meal needs PA for 250 plus video projection
    - same room being used for ceremony and disco so lots of jiggling and hanging around
    - custom video sequence for first dance
    - video recording and photography during the whole event

    etc.

Usually weddings make up 40-50% of all the work we do. This year has been mostly engagement parties so far but the number of christenings has rocketed. Had nearly 4 full months of Sundays from mid-January but things have quietened down a bit now. (I'm glad of the break, really!)
