Don't get many Christenings, not that keen on working sunday afternoons anyway and in my experience they never want to pay much......

........if I'm gonna loose my only family day a week then I want to be well compensated for it!

Sunday work is rare around these parts, but if I do take a Sunday gig I'll take Friday or Saturday off in lieu.

I don't think they do and if they did, they just wouldn't post. How many gigs you do a week doesn't make any difference to anyone but yourself surely?

I do this too. I spend more time with the family on another day.

Christenings don't pay too badly. £40 per hour (shows have been a minimum 3 hours) with not more than a 15 min drive each way isn't too bad especially when the alternative is to sit in our house and watch the soap omnibuses on the telly. I've never gotten home later than 7pm but I have missed a few Sunday dinners. I suppose they do say every rose has it's thorn!

Funnily enough, I get more Sunday discos than Friday ones!

I've never been able to work out why, but I might do 5 Sunday gigs each year compared to maybe 2 or 3 on Fridays.

    Weird!
