Default Wanted: Mackie C300z speaker fixing screw

I'm still looking for the above, as I'd rather get hold of the proper thing than mess about buying the bits & making one myself.

I will pay up to £30 plus postage.

Surely you can get one from Mackie Rob?

It appears not, Crazy...as their customer service has been pretty non-existant in my case.

You might recall I phoned Mackie a while back to ask about this. They gave me the number of one of their authorized service centres in my area and told me to ring them.

I phoned them as instructed, and they said they SHOULD be able to get one for me, but despite several chasers, nothing was forthcoming...and that was at least six months ago.

I've now given up trying to get one from either Mackie themselves or from one of their service centres, because although I thought it was a reasonable request, I was clearly wrong.

It's a shame Mackie's customer service isn't as good as the quality of their speakers.

    I'm 100% positive, Darren...because that's what it's worth to ME.

I might even go higher than that, too!

Surely SOMEBODY has / can get hold of one?

    I have an idea.

You could sell me one of the screws for £30, then sell the Mackie speakers for £30 less than you planned (due to one of them having a fixing screw missing!).

Rob, mail me the dimensions, and AS I PREVIOUSLY SUGGESTED, I'll source the Stainless Steel bits from Screwfix, and post it to you, for a lot less than£30.

Hmmm--no such problem with Peavey ( so far )

Its not a lot of use if you cant get spares.

What happens if your horn driver blows--is the whole speaker a write off?

Indeed...which is why I probably won't buy any more Mackie stuff in the future.

    It would appear so.
