    Default 19" rack fixings

    I have just brought a protex 4U ABS case, the bolts from my old 12U case will not fit. a little to big , any one the correct sixe for the protex ?

    I'm taking a rough guess but I think your old case takes M6 cage nuts and screws and in your your new case takes the smaller size which is M5.


    As I said, just a guess.

    very frustrating that, as I found when putting a small install rack together recently. It's always easy to find M6 hardware on the bench, floor, behind the bins, etc, but those smaller blighters.... and the quantity that come with the rack are always two or four fewer than needed for the job...
