Default sorry for being so ignorant

as you can see from my 1st post it was 3 in the morning,so i was'nt thinking about writing too much.
well it all started back in 1987 in a local pub when i became friendly with the 2 dj's.
After a few weeks thought yeh i fancy doing this anyway to cut a long story short i started djing at local ice rink through these guys. After months of freezing my butt off i then started going out to functions with a more experienced dj and low and behold with my milk crates for albums and 12"s and bread baskets for 7"s my career started.I ended up working for a few more disco's in search for better wages .
1995 came and i bought some second hand gear and made my own speakers this got me started.
Towards the end of 95 i was offered a Thursday spot in that pub where it all started and a Fri,Sat,Sun spot in a pub disco elsewhere and worked these 4 nights a week and still out at functions occationally for the next 2 years .
Then picked up a couple of residencies in a local golf club and hotel and 5 local primary schools while the phone was still going ding dong for other work so ended up giving up residencies in 2000 and then gave the schools up in 2005 because while all that went on my family grew with 2 kids .
So now no residencies and just working off the phone and happy to keep 1 weekend off every month.
Anyway hope you have enjoyed my story and its good to be on board.
    Steve

    Good post Steve
It's always interesting to hear how other Dj's started off.
