Well as you have changed the drivers in the class d cabs, how many watts rms are those speakers?

It's not a good idea to change drivers as this will change the whole sound as the cab was designed around the original drivers.

...and your beef is what Nigel?

Asking is OK....also having a budget is not?

Information on here is free but people need to know a bit more information before searching.....or do you just go out and buy what you first see?

    Don't be clever with me.
Uh..."You have been fined 99 bicycle clips, go directly to jail, do not collect 200 pounds... who's that naughty boy there?"

The better the brand, the better the components which would give out a better and louder signal. That can work under amps, speakers, mixers, mics, lights ect. All send eletrical signals.

In my honest opinion I would but I have not heard a pair of class-d cabs so cant really give my opinion on them. The cab was designed around the driver so you will get the best sound out it.

All mixers should put out 0dB so I doubt it is the mixer.

A lot of things define the amount of sound pressure you get.
Not least the sensitivity of the speakers and the power of the amp.

I build my own speakers and so long as the speakers are similar rated I cant see a massive problem. So long as your not putting a huge speaker in a tiny box it shouldnt make much difference.

If yo uwant to tell me what your driver is and the cubic capacity of your speaker box I will put into a program called Win ISD and check for you.

    .
All mixers put out 0dB as that is the spec for a mixer.
Just as amps are rated for a 0dB input.

And you can also go over the 0db.

0db is playing it safe when it comes to amps as Im sure you know. You can go over this but you will then start to send a distorted signal to the amp.

Mark, with total respect to you mate, the Behringer DJX700 or whatever it's called, isn't the best mixer in the world. I had one for about 2 weeks and used it once and sold it on again. I was worried it was going to fall apart. They modelled it on the Pioneer DJM600 and failed miserably. I would try another mixer mate.

As for the amp, I am selling a Crown XLS602 but you mentioned you want 1000w and this isn't unfortunately. I know that's a bit of a pointless statement but...well, it's early.
