Just wondering if anyone else is advertising in the yellow pages. i decided to for the first time this year both in the book and on the internet and i must say i am disapointed. They said i will proberly get 2-3 phonecalls a week and i've had about 6 in 2 months. i got more phonecalls by advertising in the local paper. does anyone have success with advertising in the yellow pages or am i just expecting to much

I took up the free listing , which, after a year has produced one enquiry ( turned into a booking ) .
but you do get pestered to take out a paid advert.

My free ad on Yell.com means I (reluctantly) have a free ad in my local Yellow pages as well.

I've had nothing from the paper directory, and one booking request from the website, although the person didn't even return the booking form.

In my experience, Yellow pages & Yell.com are about as much use as a fart in a spacesuit.

Yeah that's about it Martin, that's all i seem to get anyway. I get around one enquiry a week from my free listing but very rarely get a booking from them.

I get plenty of phone calls from the free listing. Get about one a mont converted, usually the smallest package too.....
