Default UV lighting - whats best??

I've got a few bookings coming up, where UV lighting has been specified, and with UV and neon parties becoming more and more popular I'm looking in investing in a few fixtures.

Has anyone used the new LED UV lighting panels, bars or pars?

Ideally I want one thats comparable to the age old 400 watt UV cannons, but without the exploding lamps

Looking at this as an alternative, anyone used this? Thoughts?

Failing that, I'm waiting on one of these to make its way into the showroom to have a play, reckon this will be ok.

    Anyone got any other suggestions?

Not really wanting tubes, forgot to mention those, think they're too fiddley to mount, and always remind me of 70s discos with them strapped across the front of light boxes.

Would if possible, want to only use LED.

    Useful info there, cheers.

Would you say 2 are roughly the same output as the 400 watt cannon type?

Think I need to get both the LED versions side by side

When i have two on it seems to give the same effect Im sure the 400w cannot be the same output as 2 ledj but it sure looks the same to me...and way safer..and they ledj ones do heat up just no where as much as the cannons...

Cool, thats the main concern for me with the cannons.

I've had a lamp explode on me before years ago, and I've been DJ'ing in a club where one has exploded too, so want to stay well clear of them.

LEDs are the way to go! Just don't know whether its worth hanging on to have a lookat the stage wash, think the're due out in a few weeks.

    Decisions... Decisions....
