Scottish Meet Ups.

Do you guy's arrange any meet ups for networking etc. I know the recent show at the SECC (Eventech) had potential for a meet up but didn't go to well. Seems us guys in Scotland are somewhat left behind in the way of networking? Or am I wrong? Maybe we could pull together and sort something out? We never know when we might need a help in hand due to any kind of unforseen circumstances. Also I'd like to pass enquiries I get where I have no availability to someone I've met and know a little bit about. I've had several local guys also asking me to cover gigs, so there must be a serious lack of networking in my area as I'm new to it.

If I'm missing a trick and there are meet ups, can I come please

Definitely a lack of meet ups North of the Border. I have met, become friends with and currently network with a few of the guys here on the forum (Soundmaster & Blitz), but as far as far as scheduled meet ups go, they are few and far between. I certainly haven't been to any.

With a baby only a few weeks away, I don't think I'll be at any meet ups anytime in the very near future, but I plan on going to the next Eventech. Hopefully I'll see a few of you there.

Am definately up for it.....I love meeting new people but I don't do it often enough. I am just snowed under wit exams n wrk the now but I recon we should name a date, time and place and get the ball rolling???

Reckon a few Midlanders will invade too

James H and myself have been up twice gigging within the last 9 months, and each time tried to get some sort of meet on the go, with no luck! (Well managed to catch up with Dougie (Scoopd) as I purchased some lights off him).

All going well we'll be back up in October for another gig.
