1x Denon HC4500 Software Controller – Virtual DJ Back Up
1x Denon DNX1500 4 Channel Mixer – Main Mixer (DNS3500)
1x Denon DNX-900 4 Channel Mixer – Main Mixer (HC4500)
1x DBX Drive Rack PA EQ Management System
Lighting:
8x Isolution IMOVE 250S Spot/Profile Moving Heads – DMX Linked
8x Stairville SC250H Flat Mirror Scanners – DMX Linked
4x Isolution IROCK 5B Barrel Scanners – DMX Linked
2x Martin EFX 500 Moonflowers – DMX Linked
2x Acme Impossiled LED Moonflowers – DMX Linked
2x Acme Miracled 4 Way Led Moonflowers – DMX Linked
2x American DJ Mystic LED Moonflowers – DMX Linked
2x Zoom Mood Bars – DMX Linked
8x American DJ MEGA BAR LED Wash Bars – DMX Linked
2x American DJ Sunray Tri Led Starballs - DMX Linked
1x Equinox Pegasus Laser – DMX Linked
2x Equinox Nebula Defraction laser – DMX Linked
12x Led Par Cans - Uplighting - DMX Controlled Via Martin Freekie
2x Soundlab Vesuvio 2 Flame Light
1x Martin Freekie DMX Controller
I was wondering on how I would run this (power) because I think i might not be able to run it on 2 13 amp sockets - like my other rigs i have
please could you reply asap
Cheers

Hi Tom,
Please can you read this topic - http://www.mobilediscodirectory.co.u...ad.php?t=11711
You may find people are more willing to help once you introduce yourself properly.

Willy waving alert!
Why would you be using such a massive lighting rig in comparison to the sound?
I don't quite get this.
Surely you'd need metres and metres of truss to stick that lot on and it would look a bit silly next to a 4 box set up?
Or are you using a massive box truss?

Looks not too dissimilar to my kids disco rig.
You should be good on 4 x 13A feeds evenly spread from two different ring mains minimum so long as you don't turn on more than half of the lamps at once.
I think.

Hi Tom
Firstly, I'm in full agreement with Darren, that the lighting rig looks very large up against two stacks of budget PA.
It prompts all the obvious questions;
- how many guests
- how big's the space
- what's the event & music policy
- if you NEED that much lighting - will the PA be sufficient
- if the PA will be sufficient, do you NEED that much lighting, etc.
But all that aside, let's look at current draw.
Sound
I take it the second P****y CS4000 is for redundancy, or to hold the doors open on load in/out, as you're only using one on the subs (I've assumed you're not bridging). I'd be surprised if the two amplifiers between then will pull more than 8a. The playback gear and LMS use a tiny amount of current. Therefore one 13a output for sound will be sufficient.
LX
The movers and scans will have the highest draw, around 10-12 amps for each lot of 8 x 250w effects. They will stay on for long periods as you're not going to want to keep restriking the lamp.
You also have a fair bit of LED stuff there, which has a very low current draw, individual LED units will have similar draw to some of your playback gear.
With everything on (or movers/scans on blackout), I estimate you would need between 40 and 45 amps for LX. That is an estimate, not a scientific calculation, as I don't have tech details for the budget gear you've listed and would have to google them.
You have two options. Assuming you really do need this size of lightshow, the venue must be a good size and most good size venues have decent size power available on ceeform for visiting concerts, shows, exhibitions & other events. Either a single phase 63a or three phase 32a (or 63a) outlet would be perfectly matched.
The proper way to do things would be to contact a power provider/events company whom can supply the necessary power distribution equipment, cabling and expertise to work with you to connect it all up safely, to avoid you tripping an MCB at a critical time when you're "larging it" in front of that 500 strong crowd.
The nasty way to do it, which I really would not recommend as it will end in tears is to run long discotastic DIY-store d0m3st1c extension leads from every socket you can find that you think/pray might be on a different breaker.
You've not said whereabouts in the country you are, but if you're interested in doing it the "proper" way, PM me & I'll see what we can do to help you.
Best regards
Tony

Hmmmmmm. Somewhere between 15 and 20 amps adrift. Could you possibly ask next door if you could plug the lighting rig in there?

Providing the equipotential zone of "next door" overlaps that of the building you're set up in, and you're mindful that "next door" may be on a different phase and you understand the implications of these aspects, then as long as you can safely run suitable cables with RCD protection at source, then it's an option.
Personally, I'd spec a genset every time before considering the above.

Hi Again,
I have managed to cut the lx rig down. I will post equipment under this link.
I am able to run 2 peavey ul118s subs on 1 peavey cs4000 because the subs are 800 watt at 8 ohm and that is what the amp outputs at.
The venue is in a drama studio at my school, it was bulit about 3 year ago so it quite new. I was hoping to be able run sound on 1 13 amp socket and lighting on another.

Not sure why you've posted the kit list again?
Did you see my other question?
