I walked downstairs, another member of the family was watching the news, and the banner was there that stated he had died.

I was quite surprised, but not majorly shocked.

It's unusual how it just 'happened' though (haven't read other posts yet)
but heard it was due to taking high amounts of a prescribed drug.

It is a Great Loss though
