    My brother charges £30 per hour. The company who he does work for charges around £50 up to £80 per hour I think.

    Depends where you go really.

    How long's a piece of string?

    It depends what you want from it: -

    Number of pages?
    Update yourself or not (CMS / Database driven)?
    or maybe just a photo gallery to update yourself occasionally?
    Client area?
    ...loads more

    Believe it or not getting out of a client what they actually want from a site is not always easy, and once that's agreed on getting any content (text / images) from them once everything is agreed is another uphill struggle!

    Although the average per hour (if you want to do it that way) is probably about £25.

    P.S. Steve - I haven't forgot you, just clearing a backlog - expect a quote before the weekend!

    I do sites and start at £150 for a basic 5page layout which includes hosting and free web address for 1year. Here a few sites I've done
