Wow ! thats a long time looking at dots ! hehe, I suppose it will be another year before LED's get jiggy with 240w bulbs... as soon as they do I'll be at the front of the que !
I wanna reduce the weight factor... but I can't see the "LED light at the end of the tunnel" yet ...

Thanks Clive
I'll be at the front of the queue
I still love my ImpossibLEDs as main floor effects but the Revo 4 is mindblowing by comparison.

Impossiled's can be a good light where you can't use smoke. Get it up high and point in on the dancefloor. Run it DMX'd up with some scanners and you get a decent floor filling effect rather than just 4 gobo's whizzing across the floor that you'd have with the scanners on their own.

All of the 20w LED moving head and scan effects are priced comparably with halogen fixtures. As you say, the ADJ X-Scan LED Plus is about £250 and Acme do a similar fixture at about the same price point too. It sounds expensive for a scanner, but only when you're comparing it with a Dynamo or similar (which only has a single colour/gobo wheel and fairly jerky servo movement). If you compare like for like (i.e. with an Acme Winner or similar - with separate colour/gobo wheels and reasonably refined servo movement) then they're roughly the same price. The same goes for the X-Move Plus which comes in at about £330 (£375 for the plus version) - pretty cheap for a moving head fixture with separate colour/gobo wheels and gobo shake. I've seen a few of these in action and they're pretty smooth.

do any of them even spin the 'gobos' or dot cluster ?
There's quite a few which add movement to the mix. At the cheap end of the scale, there's the Kam Spiro, in the middle you have the Acme LED Centrepiece range (which use mirrors to add movement), the ADJ Mystic and quite a few others.

DJNutter - Nice little 'U' Turn now mate.
I can see why you would want to go for the ADJ Revo 4 because it has more movement etc but take a look at the Mystics. I personally think that they are the best LED light out there and better than the ImpossibLED too but it's all personal opinion. All of the LED lights look half decent with smoke but some venues don't allow smoke. I have never had a problem using Haze though and even the most basic LED lights look good with it.
