    Default What Snow Machine?

For two of my Christmas and New year gigs I am looking to include snow. Not indoors but high up outside of the bar so that it looks like it's snowing outside. I don't want to spend a fortune but I want a decent output. Has anyone got any suggestions?

If you intend to run a snow machine for a long amount of time it will be expensive whatever you do. A smaller output one would be cheaper to maintain over a long cycle as a larger would eat through the fluid. You may be better off hiring one if it is only for 2 gigs.
Sorry not much help I know but im not sure you wil find one suitable for outdoors either as you can expect sub zero conditions would interfear with the fluid and the consistancy of the finished product.
When the world ends , ill probably have to clean up the mess.

Maybe look into buying a few (2 or 3) cheaper snow machines to giver you a larger coverage? Just a thought.

expect to pay £70 to £100 per week over here for one, I see you're in France - try any decent theatrical / production hire company.

    hope this helps

I like the idea but most of the cheaper models have such small tank capacity that they are impractical to use for any length of time.

We get snow almost every year, but only for a day or two. Don't think I can rely on it though.
