    Default "Free Delivery"

When companies offer FREE Delivery, on all orders, i'm always skeptical about this...is it genuinely free, or included in the price?

Well, it's free to you, yes, but the company still has to pay for it, and ultimately that means you pay for it

It certainly worked for Play.com, I wish others would follow their example!

yes, its included in the price, but its a lot easier to see the total cost so i am all in favour of it.

    Virtually nothing's free these days.

It's a bit like the supermarket offers which say "buy one get one free" You not getting one item free, you're getting two items for half price!

Indeed, it's all a big conspiracy and you're going to get well and truly shafted.

It's obviously included in the price of the goods, although some are "loss leaders" and picking and choosing these can save you money if the delivery is free.

I specialise in setting up e-commerce sites for clients, and as soon as free delivery is considered the next comment is always "but we'll have to increase the prices"

It's more likely that you'd receive free delivery on orders over a certain amount, like £50 or £100. I have to admit that I tend to consider buying other items in this case, but it is an annoyance. Of course, companies who still charge postage even when you're spending £100+, I think are missing out on sales.

And don't even get me started on on Amazon's Super Saver Super Slow delivery.. :
