Alternatives - in my current backup console (soon to be split and sold off!) I have a Gemini PS 727 mixer... very good and solid mixer which can be had for small £££'s, or get the newer version (PS828) instead... --> http://www.whybuynew.co.uk/Gemini-PS...r-PS-828X.html

was thinking about the q spand as it says it has good sound quality.

Might I suggest that before any further money is spent in the pursuit of improving this ailing sound system, which has recently had three amps, and two mixers, that someone close to you has a look at it, and see what suggestions they have.

    Think you're right!

Mind you, I've been in the business for ten years and I'd be very reluctant to splash £800 on a mixer! Even some of my powered mixers have cost less than that!

    Formula Sound product ooze quality.

    Certainly do,, I've got a Formula Sound FSM400 ( 19" Versin ) and I love it.

Also.,you can get these mixers for a bargain price on ebay, and then you can get a brand new top plate from Formula Sound so its looks brand spanking new !

Thats what I did,,I paid £220 for my FSM400, paid £50 for a new top plate, knobs and screws from FS, et voila !!!!

Ive owned loads of mixers over the years, and I would say that the only ones that sound great are Formula Sound and Allen & Heath.

Hmmmmm. Your profile says Reading. Do we know any established, experienced, knowledgeable DJ's in that area?
