Gives a fair explanation.
Basically instead of dialling a number and using the keypad to control voicemail in the old-fashioned way, you get a screen with contact details and touch control over playback, archiving and deletion. Very slick, and for me, one of those killer iphone apps.

I wouldn't go with orange again either...had bill phone with them couple of years ago and nothing but hassle, have always been with o2 apart from that once. I have been pay n go and bill and I have had no issues...
Don't want to sign up for another contract...

I'm surprised O2 let you do that? I thought it would be illegal for someone to make a false claim and then sell it on.

Not necessarily false, young Charlie. It could have been classed as a write off for some reason, perhaps.

I think youve misunderstood,,,
I bought a brand new sealed in box Iphone for £300
The reason the seller had it was because it replaced under insurance, not sure why, probably because his one lost or stolen.
But round about the same time, his contract expired, and he renewed and got a new phone with that contract,
Thats how he come to have a spare brand new phone.
But as I was saying, I dont know why he did that, because if you actually own a decent enough phone, then you'll get a much better deal if you get a SIM ONLY contract.
All the networks do Sim Only contracts, so if you dont like orange, theres others to choose from, and are miles better value than pay as you go.
And if you dont like committment,,
Then o2 do a their simplicity Sim Only contracts on a one month basis ( which when you think about it, is the same as pay as you go )
but, look what you get, £10 a month gives you 150mins /300 texts, or for £15 a month you get 300 mins / 600 texts.

If you put a different sim into an Iphone just make sure you turn 3G off as that's expensive on PAYG!
I thought the 4G was not due out until mid 2011?

Speculative, but these guys have been right about most Apple launches the last couple of years... http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/01...one_4g_rumors/
Sounds about right for a July launch.

I knew bookmarking this thread was a good idea, just got on the same plan. Cheers

I got an insurance replacement 3Gs for my old 3G and its certainly quicker - although not a compelling reason, it’s a plus point (also I believe multi tasking wont be supported in the 3G in version 4.0)
(as an aside - jailbreaking is also so much easier recently now with blackra1n)
