    Default (First) Driving Lessons

    Hi all,

    Just thought I'd write to say I had my first proper driving lesson today! I loved it, was great! Have been out driving with Dad for the past two weekends, and am really getting to grips with things. I'm actually quite surprised at how well I'm doing already - didn't stall at all today, hill starts were fine, drove around all the local villages and did a three point turn too!

    Really looking forward to going out driving with Dad again this coming weekend, and to my next lesson (next week).

    Glad to hear it's going well, Ollie...and I hope it continues to do so.

    Your post made me feel rather old though, as it made me think about my first driving lessons...which were more than a decade before you were born!

    One of the most nerve-wracking time of my life was my driving test.
    <big head mode on>
    I passed my test 5 days after my 17th birthday however, and passed my Advanced Motorists Test when I was 18
    <big head mode off>

    Learning to drive was the best thing I done and still enjoy driving now - hope you do too

    I don't blame you.

    For me, it was really exciting getting home from my test, taking off the L plates & going for the first drive on my own!

    Sounds like you'll be having the same feeling before long.
