    Fairly compact in size and weight given their contents. Carpet needs glue on a frighteningly regular basis. Odd shaped handles that some folks (OK, Rob) don't get along with.

    But for the money, a really nicely balanced sound and they RUN QUITE LOUD if you want them to.

    These were my staple speakers for about 2 years, happily running up to 150ish guests without subs (although subs help with a more 'rounded' sound).

    A good buy for the money.

    compared to those JBL JRX cabs that were going for a song on here a few days ago, the Peaveys sound horrible. IMHO. Some love them, some hate them, there's very few people standing on middle ground when it comes to P****y boxes.

    There's nowhere near Reading that sells peavey speakers? I find that hard to believe...

    Me too.

    First place I looked is here http://www.crshop.co.uk/2.1/sound/speakers/cat_7.html

    About a 40 minute journey I suppose.
