I agree; main reason is that there is nothing in it for them, as they will only be looking at it with tunnel vision.

The under cutting DJ's that will go out for beer money, will continue to flood the market place; people will continue to hire them, as they are thinking they are getting a bargain; usually due to lack of knowledge of what is, and is not a good mobile DJ. Although, as given me an idea for some new content on our website.

Back on topic, what can we do about it, nothing really, unless our government decide to bring registered DJ list (i.e approved list), which I do not think will happen in my life time. We just have to put with their methods and practices, until one of us gives up and hang our headphones up for good.

Even if you did get them on board I would imagine the kind of DJ that goes out for that kind of fee wouldn't be that loyal to you and would, in time, start to rob your customers as well?

Guys and girls... fellow DJ's....

My wording in this question may come out wrong... if it does I apologise and try and clarify if you need me to....

The situation : Basically, there are two other DJ's out the at the moment in my area, who are MASSIVELY undercutting me (we are talking less then £10 a hour kinda gigs) ... and I've heard they are "average" in standard.

I've spoken to my boyfriend who studied business and marketing, and he advised me to try and bring them on board under my branding (So in other words, become a mini agent)....

The Question: But HOW do I approach them and ask them to join up?

Really the only two benefits that I can offer...that I can think off is...
1) a website with their design and intergrated booking and calander options...... and
2) More bookings....

The way I see it is, I would be the main one benefiting from this... as I assume as a mini-agent I would deal with their bookings and add my admin fee on top.
