2x Martin Wizards OR 2x EFX600 & 2x EFX700 ???
what would you guys choose ?
will be going on my 5.5 m truss, (instead of the scans)
-
I have 2 x EFX500's but given the budget I would probably go for the Wizards. The coverage is wide and there is a lot of flexibility, gobos, colours, etc whereas the EFX600 and EFX700 have just a gobo wheel.

yeah ive seen some nice pics of wizards extremes..
the thing is...i dont actually have my truss all that high, maybe 3 metres,,
its because of two things,,the sloping roof at my res.,,,and the fact that the floor is very springy,,,which even with my very solid stands,,its makes me nervous seeing the truss move
anyway..
so i'm thinking that with wizards,,i would get an impressive effect without blinding everyone..
to be honest, at the moment, i tend to leave my scans on static ! as i dont want to get the beams in peoples eyes..
-
I thought you said you hated Wizards and they were rubbish Jeff? Why the change of mind?
-
ouch,,i never said they were rubbish,,
change of heart is because I'm told that you can easily get some good programs for them if you get 2510 controller.
but as it happens,,,
Ive decided against getting some,
Ive just ordered a pair of EFX700 moons, which im gonna use with my Isolution scans on my premium rig,
and I'll use the two efx700s on their own (on two stands ) for my standard rig.
i think sometime in the future i'll change my isolution scans for some martin scx scans,
I prefer to have it all the same make.

wizards all the way althouygh much larger and heaver but way way more effective.
by the way nice idea with the screens.
What size are they ?
-
they are 42" Philips LCD monitors.
-
Jeff - cracking setup BTW.
I really like it.
-
thanks mate,,
ps, not many people know this,,,,
but on the EFX 600/700 you can swop the supplied philips cdm lamps for an osram hsd150, which is pretty much the same as an msd 250/2
