I've just asked the guy how loud the hum is - he said "It's not that bad - hard to say really."

He says it hasn't been dropped.

Not necessarily. Probably, but not for certain. Like I said, diligent fault finding is needed.

Contact Denon and find someone to service it. You got it for a great price and it might not be a big problem to fix.

Out of interest..for Denon to service it, am I looking at £40? £150? £300? I'm clueless.

Contact Denon and find someone to service it. You got it for a great price and it might not be a big problem to fix.

Assuming of course that a fault actually exists, and isn't a settings issue, ie two channels selected simultaneously or something.

He is selling other lights etc...which tells me he is an ex DJ so SHOULD know what he is talking about - so it's probably something more than a "buzzing mixer."

Charlie, how many folk on here have posted- " I'm not very good at this technical stuff" ? Being a current/ex DJ does not confer ant technical skill whatsoever.

From the picture on EBAY it looks shagged TBH, if the buzz is the only fault you'll be lucky. You have to rely on this so I would definitely have it looked at by a Denon service agent.
