No not as of yet But LWP are working on the DJ licence for all DJ's should you be playing DVD's you will need a VPL unless the bar owner has already dealt with it

If you are working in a bar/pub using only commercially purchased CDs (or vinyl), you should not require any licences.

However, as Badger mentioned, if you are using any other type of media, the situation may be different. Give us a little bit more info and we can tell you more, if necessary! :teeth:

In which case, you should be OK working in bars/pubs/clubs which have regular entertainment (assuming that the CDs are commercially bought, or that the tracks are downloaded from a legitimate site that includes a licence to burn to CD).

However, whether or not the bar/pub is complying with their obligations and has the necessary licences.......

Most Bars, pubs or clubs that have regular DJs have to hold a PPL & PEL licence to have any form of entertainment under Council regulations, recently enforced with the New Licencing Act of 2005. Now the councils are starting to turn to us to get our house in order in regards to things like PLI & PAT certificates and non Pirated Material
