    Having worked in a job with wall-to-wall appointments, I learned a long time ago that it was in MY best interests to telephone and confirm an appointment that I was travelling to ("Hi, just leaving the office now - should be with you in plenty of time for our appointment at x") .... saves an awful lot of wasted time and trouble for me.

    Yeah, but you're used to smurfing t'interweb on your blueberry or whatever. Us Old 'uns make an appointment, and turn up for it, knowing that since the other person hasn't called to apologise and reschedule, then the meeting is still on as agreed.


    ( Unless you're dealing with Penmare, who is having some bad flare ups of his Alzheimers lately. )
