He has bought the original media from him, there is no issue.
THe CDs have not been copied or manipulated in anyway

I always thought (and from what I have read on here) that if you purchased music from someone who had already paid out to the copyright holder then that person would not be able to use it for commercial purposes.

.... how on earth could anybody enforce that even if it's true?
