You asked me a question and I gave you an answer.
I don't appreciate sarcastic remarks like that.

I know what you mean about "off the cuff". If I actually went out and thought about what I was going to say if the situation arose then I would more than likely muck it up.
I think that if you are comfortable with what you are doing, stuff should come naturally to you. I do the "off the cuff" thing and it works well. I also think it's good to break the ice as soon as you start... "Good evening Ladies and Gents" usually helps as soon as I start. That may sound obvious to some but I reckon there are people out there that don't do it.
Sorry if that sounds like I'm trumpeting again....trumping maybe....I had some reggae reggae sauce last night!

Are UB40 a reggae band. I thought they just did cheap cover versions of proper reggae songs.
True - to a point, their big hits were covers but to their credit they did write some decent ones - Food for Thought, King, One in Ten, etc

Daren's not being unhelpful. Those of us who revere the use of the Bon Mot, and the wisecrack often have no idea of what we intend to say, until we open our mouths.
If it's too scripted, it usually doesn't work.
