Whilst perusing around I came across this website
I really like the look and feel of this type of website - does anyone know the company who hosts/provides or who could design a similar style - i.e. Is it really that difficult to produce something as nice etc?

just clicked the link I provided and the main picture on the website stays the same, whereas when i viewed it before the background picture kept changing?!?

Cant describe it but i find it annoying
being flash it will be rubbish in google.

The pic in the background is good but all it says to me is he has
finished his gig early and taken some girl home for the night

Although there is nothing wrong with that.
He almost looks like he is thinking "Oh dear you found me"

I cant stand people who self publise themselves Its so pretentious.
This site is the worst offender - makes you want to puke

You mean a Flash-based website.

Horrid, detestable things

They can look very sexy but will cost a fortune to set up, be a pig to navigate SEO for, loooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaddddddddddddddd vvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ssssssssssssssssllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooow wwwwwwwwwwwwwllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyy for anyone on a poor connection, won't run on the i* range of products... I could go on.

Flash is great for spot-graphics, animated adverts, sometimes even navigation menus. But IMHO that's where you should leave it well alone.

If as you say, it's a pig for people with certain hardware or poor connections etc I'll probably forget the idea
