Default That was a close call

Just got back from a school gig , the one I was covering for Mikee.
When I took the booking , I was busy and a bit tired , but the gig was to be at Fernhurst school , year 3-5 end of term do 6:00 - 7:30 , no problem , I had a look on the web and found

    http://www.school-portal.co.uk/Group...GroupID=197574
Which states a school disco form 5:00 - 6:30 , it was now 3:10 , so off I go to Fernhurst school , Southsea.

When I arrived I handed in PAT,PLI and my CRB , all ok , until the caretaker says the disco is already set up , a guy called George.
I was in panic mode , until I thought , wonder if was Fernhurst school , in Fernhurst Surrey , I rang the school and sure enough it was , so off up the A3 again , and arrived at 4:10 , set up by 4:50 disco started on time , and it was a great gig , I dident realise that 70 screaming kids has more output than a berry EP2500
now whats the chances of two school with the same name , having a disco on the same day for the same age group

    well thats life

I agree Neil - although even that is no guarantee: I once had a client who gave me the wrong address (including post code) for a kids party. There were two St {whatever's} at opposite ends of the town . They gave me the address for one and the party was at the other! (Husband booked hall; wife booked us)

Daryll.......... PHEW! (Glad you made it)

True but if its there in writing and they have signed it then at least you gets you out of the brown stuff.

Needless to say even so I'd still be panicing to get to the right venue.
