For my monthly residencies I usually use a pair of JBL JRX125's with some...ahem, Peavey Pro Sub 15's. They're not the best but they fill out the sound of the JBL's nicely and oh!...nearly forgot, they go through a crossover.

So, when I got my Mackie SRM450 V2's back on tuesday, I decided to try them with the Peaveys aswell. Fiddling about with the crossover and getting the low rumble filled out the sound nicely and I was happy with it.

I've though about the DB Sub aswell and maybe after christmas, I'll get one but until then or until I get one...I have to make do with what I have. I'll come back to this thread as and when because of the comments and recommendations.
As Fluid says the 705AS are lovely subs.

Shame you wasn't nearer Gary id of lent you one of my RCF ART705as subs
to run with the Mackie tops. Still will lend ya one of them but its a bit far down to hampshire from Hull.

guys, am I right in saying these are the older (better) model?
I was thinking of getting two of these as I will be playing some big
venues this year and although I'm happy with my qsc hpr151i for most gigs
for an extra few quid I could have a system to tackle nearly anything.
(I have someone interested in buying it) I use the QSC k12 tops.
What would be a good second hand price for the two subs? thanks

Thanks tony. How old were they when you sold them and how did you find
    them?
I know that one probably won't measure up to my QSC hpr sub but if I can get the two at a good price it would give me options.

They were in very good condition and had Falcon covers, they were great and very little difference compared to the RCF 705.
