    Default Do you tweet?

Just wondering how many forum members have a Twitter account for business only?

And if so have you found it advantageous or just another social networking site to use up more of your valuable time.

Personally for me I do have a business twitter account and find it works really well at raising your profile in the local business community forging relationships with venues, wedding planners etc.

There's a poll at the top so add your bit there

I've found now that I certainly know alot more "wedding" type people in the area and they have come to me for quotes etc that I wouldn't have had had I not been on twitter.

But how does that work though Paul?

Do they follow you or you follow them and how do you find them and they find you?

In the begining it's a bit tricky as obviously you have no followers!! But the way I've done it is for example a Wedding Planner I know well I went through their followers to see if there's any local to me that could be of use and followed them 9 times out of 10 if they see that you also follow someone they know they'll follow you back and it builds from there.

There's also specific days on twitter ie: Wednesdays are known as "Wedding Wednesday" and you basically do a shout out to #WW to the people that follow you that are Wedding related which is seen by their followers that don't aswell as do follow you and then they follow you if they want to....confused yet

There's also "Follow Fridays" #FF where it's pretty much the same as #WW but it's a shout out for everyone wether involved with Weddings or not.

Also when you meet other suppliers at Wedding fayres you end up with more followers.

    Hope that makes sense!!
