Hi Julian, did you get the moonflowers in the end? Am looking at perhaps getting a couple myself.

Quick update - I'm going to go and talk to a different man about fixtures and demo's. Talking to a man who suggested a 4 head multicolour pattern laser for first dances for weddings wasn't very productive...
Part of me is leaning towards buying a high end moonflower effect (Acme Cheetah), but for very similar money I could pick up a pair of ADJ X-Move's or a Chauvet Q-Spot 260 LED. Having said all this, the Chauvet Obsession 2.0 LED is very good (£129/side) and there are a few good cluster laser/LED combination fixtures out there too.
There's just far too many dotty LED fixtures out there for my liking, and not enough quality versatile units.

Thanks Julian, would love to know what you choose. Whens decision day?
You're right, versatile lighting is needed - good for slow first dance or superfast dance track - or is it best to get separate lights that do both?
