    Default Request slips

    Hi guys,

    anyone use the request slips?

If so what do you put on them and how do you use them?

do you put them on the tables or hand them out when people come to request a song?

    Cheers!

Well Tom I think they are a good idea in the right circumstances - my crowd like the opportunity to request via a slip as they can bombard me! They can be a great help on a quiet night where its just listening to music not a party night.

yes we use them, we get ours from vistaprint, basically we use the a side to our business card then on the other side we put

the disco name and phone number
    can you please play
    song.............................................
    artist............................................

we put these out on the tables before we start, they work very well most times, some people pick them up and put them in there pockets and keep them.

They don't look so good with your name on it when they're lying all over the floor with dirty footprints on them! (No, I don't use them)

    Default Requests

Have used them for 10 or so years
    best thing ever i feel.
    I print em myself 4 to a a4 sheet
sometimes on crappy colours you can buy for
    peanuts.
    each form 3 requests
    a dedication and name
    i find them totally invaluable
you get names / peoples companies / favourites
    makes a night really personal
im just trying to persuade Martin
( StarZsounds) to go down this road
    Cheers

Oh i leave them a couple on each table and have em available at the Decks!

    I am sceptical.....

I get loads of requests for stuff already like Linkin' Park,Red Hot Chilli Peppers,Artic Monkeys....which really don't sit well in the Feel good Factor that I try to create. When its just a verbal request I can pretend that I've forgot it.....and hope they off. When there is literary proof it may be more difficult!!

    I have done , but..................

It`s the same for karaoke , at the start of the evening I can read the slips , but later , after the drink is flowing ( them not me ) , It`s difficult to read the writing.
