What I'm really saying is you pay the money you take the choice, secondhand half price or full price with a warranty.
But the main thing is ask more personal questions by PM it's only fair to the seller

From what I've seen of that guy you wouldn't have much to worry about, he wouldn't put them on here if they weren't any good

age:i have had them about 2 years,i bought them hardly used in imaculate condition from a friend.he had probably used them two or three times.

condition: i have used them maybe a dozen times and they do have the usual scuffs etc from being transported in the van,by no means shabby at all.
i have noticed that one unit feels slightly heavier than the other,i suspect they are from different batches,although i can't tell any difference in the sound between them.

working order: yes they are in working order,i would take them out and use them without hesitation.but everything has the ability to break down at some point in it's life.

i can understand your trepedation after having a bad experiance with another second hand pair of speakers,which was unfortunate,especially when i was at coleville on the sunday and heard them working.
but at half the cost of new you have to weigh up your options is it worth a punt or do you go and buy new with a warranty for piece of mind.

also i know i am a long way from you,it's something i have had to get used to travelling long distances to buy kit.
you would be more than welcome to bring your tops and play-out and try the subs.
they are not being sold because there is something wrong with them,i am just clearing a bit of room as i am hoping to aquire a six box system.
if they don't sell i'm sure i will find room to keep them.
