EDIT: Preferably, (but not essential) with 4 D series & 4 jack holes (8 would do at a push)

If its a case of purely hideing the hole etc maybe go down the route of fitting a blanking plate over it and then at least IF you ever need the iec then it's there

No, it's not (that's a D Series blanking plate). Therein lies the problem.

I don't really want to put a blanking plate on there, but would if there was no other option (aesthetics & all that), but I can't find one for IEC inlets.

I won't ever need an IEC shaped hole at that particular position.

Ideally I want 4 D series & 4 jack with nothing else. I would've thought I'm not the only one who would find that particular configuration handy, but nobody I can think of seems to do one.

I did think of that, but I'm not convinced I would be able to do a tidy enough job of it. I'm keen on aesthetics even with little things like this & I wouldn't want them all higgldy piggldy. It needs to look pro, not like a DIY jobbie. It was my first thought.

Penn don't seem to do a combination of D & jack holes (as far as I could see).

If somebody does an IEC blanking plate I might go with the one I linked to in post #1 & have the extra jack holes (even though I hate the idea of having a blanking plate on there), but I really just want 4 of each hole & that's it

All you need to do is mark our where you want the holes carefully and drill a hole for the punch. Then put the bolt through the punch either side of the plate and tighten.

Can you not get jack plugs that fit in the D-type holes?

That way you could just get a plate with 8 pre punched holes and fit four with XLRs and four with Jacks?

Or get combined XLR/Jack plugs so you can interchange leads - AV18077
