Constantly asks for username and password here using XP and Explorer 8.

But fine with XP and Chrome.

    OS: WinXP SP3
Browsers (all current lastest versions): -
    IE8: Fine
    Safari: Fine
    Firefox: Fine
    Chrome: Fine

If the issue is cookie related (which I'm guessing it is, as turning them off stops it working), why not just say "cookies must be enabled to use our login system"?

    Two comments...

    1) Why no SSL? I'm assuming there'll be personal info after the login?
    2) The "Login" link at the top where you have to choose your browser is a bit clunky imho. There are far better ways to do that than asking the visitor, even if you do need different logins for each browser. For example use some browser detection and either customise the link and have different URLs displayed for each, or have one common login page which detects the browser and changes the output accordingly (would be better)...

    Marc,

Thank you for testing ... It's only IE I'm interested in at the moment.
I know the 'modern browsers' work, it's only IE we have a problem with.

    With regards to your comments:

    1) The iframe is simply loading DJEP's website (Or a simple username and password HTML page)... I didn't write DJEP so I have no control over the SSL on their servers once it goes over.

    2) I don't need advice on the Logon Drop down menu at the moment, but thanks ... I am aware it's clunky and it's a quick make shift fix to enable the client area integration ( as this 'looping' problem has only just resurfaced )

The problem with browser detection is: If it's Internet Explorer then client login page MUST open in it's own window and direct to "alexentertainmentplanning.co.uk" which is taking them away from my site and to the DJEP site. The point of this trial is to allow FULL djep integration into ANY design and keep customers on your site.

I'll publish my results shortly, as this question has been posted on 12 other forums.

Ok Results time..... for those that are interested (which will also be posted in the other forums I've requested tests on)

Have to admit I find it strange to have conflicting results.
Whats even stranger is for some, their cookie security was turn on HIGH and it still worked, where as others had it LOW and it DIDN'T work

I've currently got a forum thread over at Joomla and WebDesigner with guys looking into this, but with no joy so far.

Imho there's a serious lacking there, then. As far as I can see DJEP doesn't use SSL anywhere, either. For all it costs there's really no excuse, given that personal information is accessible behind the login.

Fair enough The whole iframe thing is a PITA, even when it works (for example Firefox) you can end up getting your site within itself if you click on the "click here to return to the site" link. It looks like you're chasing your tail for what is inherently a DJEP problem, anything browser dependent is a pain and any fix is always going to be temporary or liable to breaking in the future from things outside your control. Why doesn't DJEP work on a proper API to allow the kind of integration your after? Anyway, that's my take on it, I'll now
